Questions
Hair care, answered
01 What is the difference between hydration and moisture in hair care?
Hydration refers to water content inside the hair fibre, drawn in by humectants such as glycerin. Moisture refers to the oils and lipids that seal that water in. Hair can be hydrated and still feel dry if the lipid barrier is damaged.
02 How does bond-building hair repair actually work?
Bond builders re-link the disulfide bridges between keratin chains that bleaching, heat and mechanical stress break apart. They restore internal strength rather than coating the surface, which is why the effect survives washing.
03 How often should I wash my hair?
There is no universal answer. Fine and oily hair often needs washing every one to two days with a mild cleanser, while coily and colour-treated hair usually does better washed weekly with richer treatments in between.
04 Does scalp health affect hair growth?
Yes. The scalp is skin, and an imbalanced barrier or microbiome produces flaking, itch and inflammation that can disrupt the growth cycle. Treating the scalp directly is usually more effective than changing shampoo alone.
