What the team covers
Hair care formulation: surfactant systems, bond-building chemistry, humectants and lipid barriers, scalp dermatology and the gap between what a label claims and what its ingredient list supports. Eleven guides and five comparison categories on this site carry the team byline.
How the team works
Every product is assessed from its full published ingredient list, the brand's own technical documentation, and aggregated verified-buyer reviews across several retailers. Claims about hair and scalp biology are sourced to external references at the foot of each article.
What the team will not do
The team does not present editorial assessment as laboratory testing, does not accept paid placement in a ranking, and does not let a brand approve wording before publication. Where a partner brand loses to a competitor on a criterion, the comparison says so.
Corrections
Errors of fact, price or composition are corrected on the page itself and the review date is updated. Write to corrections@thehaircompare.com and the team will answer within two working days.
